Configuring Outlook Express and Windows Mail to work with Gmail
1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click on TOOLS and then ACCOUNTS
3. Highlight your fidnet or fidmail account and click PROPERTIES
4. Click on the servers tab.
5. In the incoming server POP3 line enter pop.gmail.com
6. In the outgoing server SMTP line enter smtp.gmail.com
7. Click in the Account Name box and retype your fidnet or fidmail username and add @fidnet.com for Fidnet addresses OR @fidmail.com for fidmail addresses.
8. Click on the advanced tab and make sure to duplicate what appears in the picture below.
9. Click OK
10. Click CLOSE, and you should be ready to use Outlook Express!
