1. Open Eudora.
2. Click the 'Tools' menu, and select 'Options.'
   
   
   
3. Click 'Getting Started' under 'Category:.'
   • Enter your full name in the 'Real name:' field.
   • Enter your full fidnet email address (username@fidnet.com) in the 'Return address:' field.
   • Enter 'pop3.fidnet.com' in the 'Mail Server (Incoming):' field.
   • Enter your fidnet username  in the 'Login Name' field.
   • Click 'Allow authentication' below 'SMTP Server.'
   • Enter 'smtp.fidnet.com' in the 'SMTP (Outgoing) Server:' field.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click 'Incoming Mail' under 'Category:.'
   • Ensure that the boxes next to 'Leave mail on server' and 'Skip messages over 40K in size' are not checked.
   • Select 'Passwords' for 'Authentication Style.'
   
   
   
   
5. Click 'Sending Mail' under 'Category:.'
   • Check the box next to 'Allow authentication.'
   
   
   
   
6. Click 'OK,' and then verify your settings by clicking 'File,' and then 'Check Mail.'
7. Click Save Changes.
